A Chosen Generation

July 16,2017 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of the things not seen.”  - Hebrews 11:1 With faith comes hope and not just your causal “oh I hope this happens” but a real living hope that you know in your heart to be true. Even when things are left unseen. In 1 Peter 1 it talks about Gods abundant mercy and giving his people a “living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ” (v.3). This past week I have experienced faith like never before. In my darkest place He found me. In all my guilt and shame, He was there to comfort and wash those sins away. Breaking me down until the only person I could rely on was Him. Putting all my cares into something that is left unseen. That is the beauty of faith. When you continue to read Hebrews 11 you see how Abraham left in obedience to receive his inheritance (v. 8). Not having any idea what he was doing.
